Fall in the Ozarks

Have you just gotten in car and drove where ever the wind took you?  This time of the year is perfect for winding “Sunday drives” in Branson.  As the fall landscape begins to burst with color the hills seem to literally be alive.
One great road to see beautiful Ozark Mountain vistas is the Ozark Mountain High Road.  This road stretches from west 76 near Silver Dollar City to north Highway 65.  Without much traffic most days, you see a wide, panoramic view of the green lush country side.  The High Road is also home to many animals from turkeys to deer.  Be prepared, you may even pull over to take pictures along the way!
Another great way to see the beauty of Branson is from the Scenic Overview along 165 just in front of Scopes Ice Cream near Hollister, Missouri.  Route 165 is narrow and windy in many places, but this route offers beautiful views of both Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake.
Whether from car, motorcycle or on foot, fall is a glorious time to visit Branson.  The beauty of the Ozark Mountains will overwhelm you.  While in Branson, the staff of the Branson Mill Craft Village would love to hear your stories of scenic travels…so stop by and share your travels with us.
